Our Story

Hi there,
Thank you for taking the time to visit our humble home online! Happy Brew Kombucha is a passion project by co-founders Gabriela and her partner Jerry. Upon returning to Manila from extensive overseas travel, we had fallen in love with the big kombucha trends in the United States, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand, however, the Philippines seemed a little behind.

Feeling left frustrated by being unable to get our hands on high-quality, unpasteurized kombucha in Manila, we set out on a mission to bring this "Elixir of Life" readily available throughout the Philippines. With this passion-project coming to life, we were left stranded on how to turn our dreams into reality...
Our heirloom SCOBY which is an essential part to brewing kombucha tea.
Luckily, I inherited an heirloom SCOBY (Symbiotic Culture Of Bacteria and Yeast which is essential to brewing quality kombucha) from my dad who resides in New Zealand.
Upon returning home to Manila, we started our very first brew in a 2.5-gallon glass jar, and we fell in love with this ancient process of fermenting tea.

Our Love Affair
Brewing kombucha has become a part of a life that we have become grateful for. Not only does kombucha help us to live a healthier lifestyle, but it has also opened up many doors and created many new friendships.

Undoubtedly, we love what we do and we make a great dynamic team. With Jerry dreaming of many new and innovative ways to create delicious recipes, I spend my time carefully brewing his dreams into reality.

As he is Irish, he does spend a lot of time abroad traveling with work. Nonetheless, at every given opportunity, he dives deep into researching and honing his craft to making the perfect brew!

Finally, our dynamic team couldn't be complete with our finest, and undoubtedly our cutest employee Uncle Fester.

Our 9-month-old Maltese is the glue to our business and brings a lot of joy and happiness, 2 key elements that go into each and every brew!
